Due to the good reputation which the society got during its projects, several requests to open branches from different places took place.

Abu Ghraib Branch

Since the establishment of the society Numbers of the beneficiaries from different parts of the city increase day by day. Some of the beneficiaries are women from Abu Ghraib district which is considered as one of the hot zones due to continuous military & insurgent movement. This had a negative response on the continuity of beneficiary's attendance.

The society had received a lot of applications to establish a branch in Abu Ghraib so as to gain the benefit of the remarkable services of the society with fewer security risks.

     This suggestion was taken into consideration, in May 2005. Support to achieve the project reaches from (COOPI). Visits to the area took place by the members of the society, several meetings with the women of the community took place. From these meetings some women had been identified to share the activities. Free quick dense courses for those women each in her specification took place for more than month.

On 1st August 2005 a suitable building for the society branch was chosen with the help of the city council who seem very interested in the project . Some religious leaders, tribal leaders help in announcing about the branch. On the beginning of September, the branch was officially opened and the names of those who wanted to take part in the activities were registered.

The women who were trained in the main branch in Baghdad were responsible for teaching the other women of the district in many fields and the society paid their salaries.

 All the sessions and services of the branch are freely given to help people overcome hard circumstances.

The branch includes the following departments:

1- Sewing workshop:

It takes charge of the basic sewing sessions which last for one month and the trainees are examined by sewing certain patterns of clothes which are exhibited in the workshop and then are given back to the trainees as gifts. Advanced sessions were added during December and January for the graduates of the basic sessions. Kitting and flower making courses were also added.

There are many projects which had been achieved through this department .Most of it were donated freely, few were sailed in low prices to encourage people to get benefit from:-

- Clothes to orphans in the city

- School dress for the needy students

- Clothes to the widows.

- Bed sheets to the IDPs .

 2- Computer Centre:

Girls are trained in regular sessions and the trainees are then tested according to theoretical and practical program by coordination with computer department in the society.

 3- Eradication of Illiteracy Department:

It is considered one of the most important departments according to the society because of the large numbers of illiterate women. A lot of girls were obliged to leave school because of the unnatural circumstances in Iraq. The reference in the courses is the official primary school book.

       The existence of grandmother at the age of 65 at the same desk with Just seven years old girl shows the strong desire of Iraqi women for learning. Three months later, elementary Mathematics and simple information in life science were added.

 4- Enlightenment and Health Education Department:

Because of the deterioration in medical staff to reach the villages and countryside, the spread of diseases and infections became common and familiar, so the society took into consideration adding this department in order to spread hygienic and medical enlightenment among the people of this district through sessions, lectures, delivering printed articles, posters and personal hygienic materials projects inside and outside the branch were achieved by visiting  schools which are nearby, in which medical lectures were given by specialists in different fields, as well as that medical guidance was given to students and their questions were answered. Hygienic kits (soap, tooth paste, towel, brash ….) were donated to the students.

 There were special lectures, for pregnant women, about mother and embryo health, newborn babies, epidemic diseases. Gifts were given to those who participated.

5- Kitchen Department:

In this department, courses were held for women, on how to make different kinds of food and rules of cleanliness during meals making were explained and the concentration was on making economic and healthy food to help families through hard and tough circumstances in this country.

    The department start  a productive project that handles production and marketing of food inside the district to provide new work opportunities to women and services for the people of the district by well-made& low cost food.

6- Kindergarten:

In order to make it easy for women to attend society branch and participate in the activities, a kindergarten was opened inside the branch building to take care of children during their mothers' presence in the branch, moreover the children of the trainers are taken care of to help their mothers fulfill their duties in the right manner.

The kindergarten is provided with all the necessary requisites and the kitchen's department provides children with a daily meal made of soup or bakeries.

 7- The Social Department:

This department handles the registration and responsibility of low income families that consist of handicapped, widows, orphans and emigrant families.

Food items, blankets, clothes, school requirements (bags, copy books, pains …) were distributed in different projects to help needy families.

With the increasing sectarian violence hundreds families immigrated to the poor city. Needs became more & more. Social department arrange different projects to those people.

After more than year ,  small fees were added to he courses in order to help in self financing .
